YOUR PLATFORM is a Darebin Arts Speakeasy presentation opportunity for artists living with a disability. We are looking for a new performance work to be programmed at Northcote Town Hall Arts Centre during Melbourne Fringe Festival as part of the 2019 Darebin Arts Speakeasy Program. Applications are now open to artists who identify as living with a disability.
This second iteration of YOUR PLATFORM is part of larger initiative to increase access and inclusion programs across Darebin Arts. The selected presentation will occur during Melbourne Fringe Festival for a 1-2 week season from the 12 - 29 September, 2019. The work will be presented in Northcote Town Hall Arts Centre’s Studio 1 or Studio 2.
As detailed in the Creative Darebin Arts Strategy 2014 – 2021, the Darebin Arts Speakeasy program, is made up of high quality work by artistic leaders and is an integral part of the cultural ecology of Melbourne and Australia’s artistic landscape. The program presents contemporary, critical work reflecting our society and the world that we want to live in, providing engaging artistic experiences, which aim to challenge the mainstream and remove barriers.
