The 360 XOCHI QUETZAL Writers and Artists Residency Program is located on Lake Chapala, the largest lake in Mexico, where you will find that a perfect climate throughout the year and the stunning views of the lake and the mountains have established the region as the mecca of the international artist. Residents will be inspired by the natural beauty, history and culture of this special part of central Mexico. Chapala is 25 minutes from Guadalajara International Airport and 45 minutes from Guadalajara, one of the largest cities in Mexico that has abundant cultural resources: museums, galleries, theater and materials for artists. Xochi Quetzal is the Aztec goddess of creativity and fertility and protector of artisans. She will surely inspire you during your stay!
MISSION: Our goal is to support artists, writers and musicians who would benefit from having uninterrupted time to devote to their creativity. By providing affordable living / work spaces in a beautiful and culturally rich area, we hope that our residents can progress artistically without the stress and distractions of everyday life.
CRITERIA: national and international visual artists, photographers, writers, playwrights, creators of new media and musicians over 23 can plan their personal residence. Two of our work / live spaces can accommodate couples or collaborative teams of two people.
PERSONAL RESIDENCE PROGRAM : We offer 4 rooms / study spaces for 1 to 6 months.
