COVID-19 Recovery Grants

We are committed to supporting the community and its local businesses to adapt and bounce back through the global COVID-19 pandemic.

This grants program is designed to support the adaption, continuation and recovery of our local community groups and local businesses.

We have streamlined the process to deliver quick response grants during this time, with a priority focus on addressing short term solutions that can be delivered quickly.

This program offers two streams of funding; for local businesses and for community groups and not-for-profit organisations.

Grants for business

Who can apply?

The following applicants, based and operating in Moonee Valley, are eligible to apply:

·       Local businesses (with less than 50 full time equivalent employees)

·       Sole Traders

·       Social enterprises

·       Traders Associations

What can I apply for?

There are two business grant categories:

Adapting to changing needs

Up to $10,000

Examples include:

·       Online innovation, web design and redevelopment, e-commerce platforms, mobile app development, etc.

·       Assistance to develop alternative service delivery models and products (for example delivery and takeaway adaption)

·       Professional development, online learning and webinars, training courses

·       Other adaptation projects in line with funding priorities

Business collaboration

Up to $5,000

Examples include:

·       Businesses working together

·       Online business networking

·       Resources sharing

·       Other collaboration projects in line with funding priorities.

Grants for community

Who can apply?

The following applicants, based in Moonee Valley, are eligible to apply:

·       Community groups

·       Not-for-profit organisations

Applicants must be incorporated or supported by an auspice.

What can I apply for?

There are three community grant categories:

Adapting community services

Up to $5,000

Examples include:

·       Assistance to develop service delivery models and products and meet emerging needs and issues

·       Web design and redevelopment, video conferencing subscription, virtual experiences, hosting webinars

·       Professional development, online learning and webinars, training

·       Other emerging pandemic needs in line with funding priorities

Community connection and collaboration

Up to $5,000

Funding for community initiatives addressing:

·       Building community resilience

·       Bridging isolation and building connections (social support)

·       Online events, placemaking, story-telling and creative expression

·       Celebrating and connecting when the time is right

·       Other emerging pandemic needs in line with funding priorities

Emergency partnerships

Up to $20,000

Emergency partnership grants are for the continuation of essential community service organisations, especially targeting:

·       Food security

·       Housing support

·       Family violence support

·       Mental health

·       Social isolation

·       Other emerging pandemic needs in line with funding priorities
