The Ian Potter Foundation Ltd

Arts Sector Grants

A dynamic and well-resourced arts sector is central to a culturally rich, vibrant and innovative society. The Ian Potter Foundation seeks to enhance the capacity of the arts sector via the following funding objectives:

  • Support first-rate artistic institutions and organisations in metropolitan and regional Australia which are distinctive in artistic achievement, imagination and innovation in fostering development across a sector or art form
  • Support such institutions to host artists in high-calibre professional development and/or leadership opportunities of at least 12 months (e.g. fellowships, apprenticeships, mentorships, internships).

The impact of COVID-19 on the arts sector continues to disrupt and devastate. It was the first sector to close and is anticipated to be the last to open. We have seen many arts organisations work hard to adapt their mode of operation in the short-term while revisiting their strategic goals and business models to ensure a sustainable future.

We encourage arts organisations across Australia to consider applying for funding to support them to adapt their business models, re-start activities and continue their core artistic mission.

Expressions of Interest open Monday 19 October.

Please contact the Arts Program Manager, Subhadra Mistry, to discuss your proposal prior to submitting an EOI.
