Independent Creation Fund

The Independent Creation Fund (ICF) provides support to Queensland small to medium arts and cultural organisations; Producers and performing arts venues to employ independent artists and arts workers to deliver new projects. Applications can support either early career or established arts and arts workers, employed to deliver a performance outcome. This program acknowledges the continuing impacts of COVID-19 and builds on earlier support delivered via the Queensland Government’s Arts and Cultural Recovery Package.

Objectives

ICF provides support to Queensland small to medium arts and cultural organisations; Producers and performing arts venues to employ Queensland-based independent artists and arts workers to deliver new projects. Applications can support either early career or established arts and arts workers, employed to deliver a new project with a performance/public presentation outcome.

Arts Queensland has identified that by leveraging the existing infrastructure and resources of established arts organisations, producers or venues arts programmers, independent artists and arts workers can be quickly employed to deliver arts and cultural outcomes.

Funding range

One-off grants of up to $40,000.
