The National Gallery of Victoria has received pledge for $20 million from The Ian Potter Foundation towards NGV Contemporary. Read more.

The Art Gallery of NSW tabled its annual report this week. The Gallery welcomed 1 million visitors this past financial year, despite COVID. This compares with visitation of 1.5 million in 2018-2019. The largest attended exhibition was Japan Supernatural which attracted 142,390 visitors. The gallery also saw a 25% increase in YouTube subscribers and a 16% increase in Instagram followers, with its social media content attracting 74 million. Read the report in full.
