Originally conceived as part of a crowd-funded Pozible campaign, after nine months of anticipation and preparation, Melbourne’s first feminist film festival, Girls On Film Festival (GOFF), is due to launch 12 to 14 September 2014 at Northcote Town Hall.

Debuting in a year that has held its fair share of feminist debate, with social media campaigns such as the ‘Women Against Feminism’ holding the media’s gaze and accusing the feminist cause of demonising men and victimising women. However festival Director Karen Pickering says anti-feminist females are the exception and not the majority.
