Brisbane dances to a new tune

A new dance festival in February 2017 will provide a new stage for contemporary dance in Queensland and tough competition for the southern states.

Supercell: Festival of Contemporary Dance Brisbane aims to unite Queensland’s diverse dance sector with a program of local, national and international artists in February 2017.

‘Queensland has a really interesting array of contemporary dance companies, which are spread across regional centres as well as Brisbane,’ said festival co-founder Glyn Roberts.

Richard Watts is ArtsHub's National Performing Arts Editor; he also presents the weekly program SmartArts on Three Triple R FM, and serves as the Chair of La Mama Theatre's volunteer Committee of Management.
