Bausch a box office hit for Adelaide Festival

The Australian premiere of Nelken (‘Carnations’) by acclaimed choreographer Pina Bausch has generated significant box office income for the 2016 Adelaide Festival of Arts.

One of the first dance performances to combine with drama, theatricality and voice, Nelken debuted in West Germany in 1982, the same year Adelaide Festival first introduced Bausch to Australian audiences.
