Merger fears fester in Adelaide

A mooted merger between the Adelaide Festival and the Festival Centre would fundamentally change the city's arts ecology.

Launching his 2015 program last week, Adelaide Festival of Arts Director David Sefton hinted the Festival’s independence is under attack, saying ‘This is your festival; embrace it, love it – don’t merge it’.

His comments were met with murmurs of support and applause.
