4-day-long festival held over two weekends in winter 2021 celebrating the Arts with classical music and jazz, exhibitions, literature and more.
For more than 15 years the Woodend Winter Arts Festival has brought together acclaimed Australian and international talent to celebrate music, literary and visual arts in the stunning Macedon Ranges. This year the festival will be held over two weekends; 10-11 July and 7-8 August. The result is a world-class showcase of vibrant, traditional and thought-provoking performances and events in the heart of one of Victoria’s best food and wine regions.
This year, due to the COVID pandemic, changes have been made to the way in which the festival is being held. Instead of all one long weekend, events will be spread over July and August to accommodate and adapt to any necessary changes. This year’s program includes classical music and jazz, literary events, thought-provoking ideas and lectures, and three exhibitions.
Due to the nature of the arts in Victoria at the moment (snap lockdown, anyone?) additional events will be added as the committee responds creatively to the changing environment. The Festival is a not-for-profit venture; it is funded entirely by ticket sales and sponsors, donors and grants, and is supported by hard-working volunteers.
