With a combination of realistic and abstract painting, her stunning depictions of flora and fauna in their natural landscapes are captivating. All of the subjects of Claire's paintings come from her own photographs taken on her morning walks. She paints with a slightly impressionistic lens, giving the paintings a more saturated colour than what you would see in a photograph. While her realistic works are an observation of nature, her abstract paintings are an exploration of colour and movement. This exhibition gives you the opportunity to be absorbed in her work, just as she is while creating it. THE VIBRANT COAST Dallas Lesley Foyer Surrounded by nature on the winding tracks to Tea Tree Bay, Dallas Lesley paints what she sees in the ocean, plant life and birds of the coastal zones. The shoreline and the shapes in nature inform her work as she looks for patterns in each piece. The flow of the ocean’s currents, the bold curves of the rocks, the curling and spiky leaves, the sensual, sculpted tree trunks make a landscape of patterns that these sights create, and the memories and sounds of the ocean beyond the trees and the birds high above, are part of her vibrant coastal expressionism. In her exhibition, The Vibrant Coast, the viewer can see how Lesley uses the Australian Coast to explore her thoughts and feelings on the canvas. MENTORS AND MAKERS All Abilities Art Group Exhibition Butterbox In Mentors and Makers, it's hard to separate the bodies of the artists from the materials they use as clay is massaged and moulded and paint applied without reflection.   The ceramics in this show are by the All Abilities Art group, comprised of the work by local artists with varying disabilities. The exhibition is a showcase of the work they've created over a series of All Abilities classes with their carers from Sunshine Butterflies Inc., tutored by Michael Ciavarella, Cammi Evans and Kim Gutherie. This exhibition of fascinating works will inspire you to explore your own creative outlets, no matter your ability.
