SWAN? is a whip- smart fusion of ballet, bouffon and song, which challenges audiences to consider just how much you would change yourself for aromantic partner. A darkly funny and perfectly en pointe takedown of the patriarchy and perceived self- worth. This genre- defying one- person showrecently took Adelaide & Edinburgh Fringe by storm with raving reviews.
Performer and Creator, Lauren Brady said, “ My goal is to present Odette in a highly comedic manner that allows the audience to laugh, reflect, andwalk away knowing they don’ t need to be loved by a romantic partner to feel ” complete.”
SWAN? is created and performed by Lauren Brady, an award- winning performer ( Fools Gold Award – Play the Fool Festival (Clowning Award), Best Actress – Oniros Festival, and Sterling Award Nominee for Outstanding Solo Performance.) Lauren is a multi-disciplinary Canadian artist, working across dance, clown and physical theatre. She is the founder of HEYwire Theatre, a collective thattackles tough subjects with warmth, light and humour.
