Festival highlights
SPARK Ipswich has over 50 individual events throughout the 11 days. Looking for the highlights? We have you covered:

Projection Art: Local artists will have their works brought to life in a stunning display across iconic Ipswich architecture. Each night will showcase an individual artist’s work, along with live music and artist talks – and it’s all free! It is a wonderful night out so not why team it up with dinner at a local restaurant to really relish the evening out.

WOMI – World of Music Ipswich: With a jam-packed lineup, WOMI is a free, one-day world music festival showcasing and celebrating the vibrancy of Ipswich and South East Queensland’s culturally and linguistically diverse community. Bursting with variety, there will be music, workshops, food and crafts from across the globe.

Little Day Out: Ipswich’s signature children’s music and arts festival is back! Little Day Out is raging with music, hands-on art experiences, food and roving entertainment. Gather your festival crew to sing, dance, create and play. Festival favourites ‘Burger Joint’ headline this year with their Junior Burger Rock Show, a fresh, uniquely Australian rock concert for kids.

Teddy Bears’ Picnic: Children and their families are invited to celebrate SPARK Ipswich’s inaugural Teddy Bears’ Picnic at the iconic Queensland Museum Railway Workshops. There will be craft workshops to enjoy, stage performances, roving entertainers and of course… A Bear Hunt! Don’t forget Ted and your picnic baskets.

Circuit – Music in Many Places: Live music fans, this one’s for you! Two free, electrifying musical events transform Ipswich Central into a symphony of sound each Saturday of the festival. Imagine over 15 unique venues, each pulsating with its own rhythm, scattered throughout the city centre. From energetic pubs to trendy barbershops, art-filled spaces, and aromatic Indian restaurants, the beats will echo through every corner.

The fun doesn’t stop there – the festival is your chance to experience circus skill workshops, tattoo artistry workshops, visual art exhibitions, drag aerobics plus dance eisteddfods and SO many more events as a taster for SPARK Ipswich.
