Terror Australis Readers and Writers Festival (TARWF) is Australia’s southern-most literary festival, a celebration of books, writing and community in the glorious Huon Valley, Tasmania.

A land of natural beauty, artisan producers and intriguing stories, this October it’s also home to our unmissable professional development program.

For aspiring, emerging and established writers alike, we’re offering opportunities, support and encouragement to progress your career.

You can write, distraction free, at our one- and two-week retreats at the historic Kermandie waterfront hotel. With private ensuite rooms, meals and tutors included, and prices starting from just $1250 (ex. GST), we’ll take care of everything. Literary and genre streams are available, and non-fiction writers are welcome.

You can also learn from some of Australia’s most acclaimed authors at our masterclass weekend, including Angela Meyer, Angela Savage, Alan Carter, Lindy Cameron and Meg Keneally.

And, facilitated by Nigel Featherstone, meet agents, editors and publishers at our premium Australian Publishing Industry Weekend Intensive.

Join TARWF in the Huon Valley this October and create your story.
