Sally Blackwell will lead us through this two-day workshop.

Day 1: Restore your creative self in this workshop where you will coil (stitched basketry) a basket using a variety of materials including raffia and natural fibers.. Learn the technique of open weave coiling and go from there!  To reinforce your learning, you can also make a small basket using waste materials

Day 2 Relax and learn while you create a sturdy hidden core basket. Using a variety of materials, you will learn two techniques that will completely cover an inner core giving the basket added strength. This can be applied to any number of baskets. You will have the opportunity to adapt your design by creating handles or adding decorations.

This is a hands on workshop for all skill levels

Please bring an apron and wear closed in shoes.  All materials are included in the workshop fee.
