Garrmalang Festival returns in 2022, this year running Fri 29 – Sun 31 July.
Darwin’s celebration of the artistic richness of First Nations culture will continue to shine a light over the breadth of talent from all over the country with something for everyone, including live music, comedy, dancing, formidable and nationally-renowned panel discussions, exhibitions, pop-up market stalls and more.
Highlights include multi-award winning artist Frank Yamma supported by Larrakia songstress Lena Kellie and Darwin local blues artist David Spry, not to mention Stephen Pigram and his Bigroom String Band with support from Stiff Gins.
The Big Blak Dot Comedy Spectacular headlined by Kevin Kropinyeri will leave crowds in stitches, with the Deadly Darwin collective also each doing a fast short set, and rising hip hop star Tasman Keith and NT rappers J-MILLA and Yung Milla will weave their deadly story-telling through song in what will be a sure-fire dancefloor riot.
