Her work transcends generations, fusing historical research with contemporary performance to bring Indigenous narratives to life. As the creative force behind the Mission Songs Project, she revived rare and nearly forgotten songs from the Aboriginal mission era, giving voice to the lived experiences of Indigenous families. More recently, Jessie has been developing the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Songbook—a groundbreaking educational resource that helps schools across Australia integrate Indigenous perspectives into music education.
