A talk by Dr Rob Conkie, an internationally renowned scholar of Shakespeare and performance. This talk will offer a (mis)guided tour of the myriad ways visual artists have responded to the plays of Shakespeare. Not just iconic paintings, the talk will consider visuality in its broadest sense, offering reflections (and a chance for discussion) on illustrations, woodcuts, film settings, stage designs, artist’s books, photographs, book covers, graphic novels, and more…
There will also be an opportunity to ask questions.
