Alter Edith is a cycle of almost performances amongst extra-terrestrial environments. Edith is an alien trying earthly sentiments. Her curiosity of Earthly delights creates mobile museums in real-time. With bursts of surreal song, dada theatre, and post-post-modern dance, Altar Edith is a darkly comical ode to the end of disappointing times. This hybrid performance embodies the miracle of transformation and celebrates the awkward and diverse rebirth for us all in this decade.
Altar Edith is a striptease, but in slow motion, and reverse, without gravity. Across the two hours see Edith: sleep beside you, excite herself, exercise strategically, dress for the shebang, and most importantly, see her in the ‘volunteer’ position. Flair-bartending, disc jockeying, POV digital avatars, and personal lubricant all make appearances across the two-hour cycle.
Viewers can come and go as they please, head to the bar for another Edie-tini, or go on an excursion for a special view.
