Best practice guides released for indie theatre, design negotiations

New guides and agreements have been released by the Australian Production Design Guild and MEAA, the later focused on the indie theatre sector.

A new, free and easily downloadable document intended to streamline the process of contract negotiations between designers and theatre companies has been published by the Australian Production Design Guild (APDG).

Developed by the APDG’s Live Performance Workgroup, the Live Performance Standard Agreement is specifically tailored to the needs of live performance designers.

Richard Watts is ArtsHub's National Performing Arts Editor; he also presents the weekly program SmartArts on Three Triple R FM, and serves as the Chair of La Mama Theatre's volunteer Committee of Management.
