Graduates make 40 years of the University of Wollongong’s art collection available at the swipe of a finger.

Art brains and technology brains at the University of Wollongong have teamed up to develop a free iPad app for the university’s art collection.

The app was developed as part of a five-year collaboration between the university’s School of Creative Arts and Centre for Digital Ecosystems, and enlisted the support of University of Wollongong computing graduates Scott McConnell, Adam Muhlbauer and Timothy Zelinsky. Tim Wray, who was the lead designer of the app, is currently completing a PhD that looks into new ways for technology to engage audiences with art collections.
