$300,000 grant builds Indigenous cultural leadership

A new $300,000 fellowship will ensure an Indigenous student becomes a cultural leader.

Glass artist Mel George has been selected as the inaugural recipient of the Luminis Foundation Indigenous Fellowship for Cultural Leadership at the National Institute of Dramatic Arts (NIDA).

The new Fellowship is supported by a $300,000 grant by the Luminis Foundation, to be awarded annually for six years to an Indigenous student undertaking the MFA in Cultural Leadership at NIDA.
