Amongst the chaos of shock budget cuts, the cancellation of select Australia Council funding programs, Senate Inquiries, and voiced concern over the draft guidelines for the new National Program for Excellence in the Arts, there has been a sprinkling of good news as the Australian Government delivers the promised funding for regional arts and Indigenous visual artists.

Also in the mix is the announcement of $100,000 for fellowships to support the artists and creative professionals who will be the first student cohort for NIDA’s Cultural Leadership graduate course.
