VCASS entry applications for 2014 open soon

Students of music, dance or the visual arts who will be in any of the years from 7 – 12 in 2014 can apply to enter the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School (VCASS) from Monday April 15. It says Victoria but the positions are open to any students in Australia and abroad. The school is funded for 100 dance students and a similar number of music students who are Australian residents but there are only 15 places available for students of the visual arts in Year 11 and a limited number for Year 12. The school provides places for up to 20 international students. Australian students pay no tuition fees but they are asked to contribute to collateral costs like school materials and supplies, printing and accessing the internet.
