Tamara Winikoff OAM has been the Executive Director of the National Association for the Visual Arts (NAVA) for 22 years. However, her involvement with the peak organisation started earlier than that.

She was among a small group of passionate arts professionals who lobbied for the organisation and witnessed its formation in 1983, with support from the Visual Arts and Craft Board (VACB) of the Australia Council.
