With increasing economic pressure and stronger reliance on the private sector, arts organisations are becoming more business-like in their operations.

The problems that can cause for creatives has been widely discussed, notably by Belvoir’s then-Artistic Director Ralph Myers, who argued passionately against managers taking charge of arts organisations.
