What is the difference between a workshop and a masterclass – and why should you participate in one?

Taught by an expert in a particular discipline, the masterclass is an established industry practice, valuable for young artists as a professional development and networking opportunity, and for established artists a means of supplementing their existing income.

Richard Watts is ArtsHub's National Performing Arts Editor; he also presents the weekly program SmartArts on Three Triple R FM, and serves as the Chair of La Mama Theatre's volunteer Committee of Management.
