SAS Gallery
We welcome exhibition proposals from early to mid-career artists and curators, including both group and solo shows. Scratch Art Space supports artists and recent graduates with new or experimental work.
The Gallery has high street visibility with full glass frontage on Sydenham Road, located in the centre of the creative industrial area next to Sydenham Train Station. We’re a five minute walk from the station located adjacent to Batch Brewery.
We welcome and encourage installations, and can easily accommodate most artists requirements from ceiling-suspended works to direct installation into walls, as well as an installed hanging system. The Gallery can be blacked out for video or projected images.
Our social networks are steadily growing and we currently have 2,860 followers on Facebook, 1,460 on Instagram, and an extensive email list.
Exhibition Submissions for 2020 are open now
Exhibition proposals should include:
– Statement about your exhibition concept (400 words)
– 3 to 5 images of proposed or previous work
– Artist or Curator’s curriculum vitae
– Preferred dates for exhibition

The Gallery charges 25% commission on all art work sales.

Please note that pricing does not include opening night expenses or insurance of artworks. Installation and deinstallation of the exhibition is the responsibility of the artist. Artists are encouraged to mind the gallery on Saturdays and Sundays, however we are able to mind the space for an additional $100 per day.
