Cuts to photography, design and fine arts at Queensland College of Art

News of cuts to Queensland College of Art (QCA) as part of Griffith University’s Proposal for Workplace Change Roadmap to Sustainability (R2S) were released on 2 November 2020. Since, then over 7,000 student and alumni have objected to the proposal via an online petition.

The plans to cut staff and courses within Fine Arts, Photography and Design could happen as soon as January next year, targeting in particular studio-based learning. The Proposal plans to:
