Applause: Latest funding and awards announced

YouTube offers scholarships for creatives to study at NIDA, winners of Hachette prize for young writers announced, recipients of $30,000 Helen Lempriere Scholarships announced plus more awards.

Three creatives have the opportunity to study at Australia’s National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) thanks to YouTube, who are committing USD $100,000 (approximately AUD $135,000) worth of scholarships for underrepresented individuals.

The initiative will award one scholarship of approx. AUD $44,000 each year for the next three years, to a student from a background which has historically been underrepresented on screen and stage. First Nations and People of Colour, people with a disability, from remote and regional areas or experiencing barriers to access are especially encouraged to apply.
