Thanks to the runaway success of several high-profile podcasts (ahem, Serial), interest in podcasts have been steadily growing, and now it seems that everyone is talking about this once-niche medium—and asking a lot of questions about what it is and how to get started listening.

Podcasts offer a more curated, intimate listening experience than traditional radio programs.
