Last Tuesday (21 June), a joint media statement by The University of Sydney and the University of NSW announced that the Sydney College of the Arts (SCA) will “merge” with the University of NSW Art & Design school (UNSWAD).

The timing of the announcement coincided with the Dean of SCAs absence overseas and the mid-year student break.
