The old stereotype that pitted TAFE against university is being questioned by a new generation of arts graduates forced to seek out employment opportunities in addition to coursework, combine TAFE and university degrees and look outside the sector to institutions such as design schools.

Across the fine arts and crafts, graduates and educators continue to emphasise the importance of collegiate networks and skill diversity in attaining long-term job security in creative fields. We look at the various pathways artists and creatives are taking to advance their careers in a competitive job market.
