Swap the Boardroom for a Surf Board at Emergence Margaret River

Swap the Boardroom for a Surf Board at Emergence - the Ultimate Anti-Conference’ in Margaret River

This March (21-24), Emergence Creative Festival will turn the iconic Margaret River Region into a creative playground for three days of inspiring keynotes, hands-on workshops, out-of-the-box collaborations and incredible satellite events.

The event attracts professionals and emerging creatives from Australia and around the world in the fields of music, film, photography, advertising, digital and the visual arts to Margaret River - a destination known globally for its wine and waves, that has become a creative hub thanks to the innovators and entrepreneurs that call it home.

Now in its sixth year, Emergence is described as the ultimate ‘anti-conference’. At face value, the guest experience could be confused for a holiday itinerary thanks to the optional early morning surf sessions and Conference hub being set in a winery, but the event has continued to prove itself by securing high-profile international and national guests and through the numerous business outcomes and creative partnerships formed by those in attendance.

Event Director Erin Molloy said Emergence 2018 will celebrate those who ‘Break the Mould’ and have found success by challenging the traditional way of doing things.

“We have an amazing lineup of keynote speakers coming from the US, Japan, UK, Singapore and across Australia to share their insights and experiences,” Ms Molloy said.

“In the past we’ve turned a cave into a sound studio, we’ve hung a band off a cliff for a photography shoot and we’ve turned the main street of Margaret River into a progressive night of live music, live art and performance all in the name of creative inspiration – so guests can expect all of that and more in 2018!

“The picturesque Margaret River region provides the perfect setting for guests to collaborate, create and be inspired; share emerging trends and recent developments in their disciplines and network with creatives from all industries,” Ms Molloy said.

Confirmed keynote speakers at the 2018 event include: award-winning video game developer Kimbely Allom; international artist Ian Strange; Co-founder of Working Not Working Justin Gignac; and Google Tokyo Creative Directors Tim Seddon and Gene Brut.
