The Betta Milk Burnie Wearable Paper Art Competition is on again. paper on skin is a unique competition which invites artists to design a wearable garment made from at least 80% paper. With a Major Prize of $5000, paper on skin is one of the richest wearable art prizes in the country. The 2018 event has attracted entries from around the globe.
The Gala Parade and Award Evening will take place on June 15th at the Burnie Regional Art Gallery, Burnie, Tasmania.
Be prepared for a diverse array of stories, statements and innovative use of the delicate yet versatile material on which Burnie's indusrial heritage is based - paper! Judges make their final decision only after seeing the catwalk parade. Audience participation is invited via the Public Vote Award, also announced on the night.
