Live Musical Performance & The Creative Process

Following their performance at Art That Moves, Judith & Rachel collaborate to deliver this workshop.

This is a unique opportunity to use music in a live situation as a catalyst to painting and drawing with the guidance of the tutor. Sound is a powerful trigger for creative process made all the more potent by live music performance.

Rachel Scott will play in the studio during the first day and Judith will work with students exploring and translating their responses with varying drawing and painting ideas. The second day will allow time for these ideas to be completed or developed into finished paintings and mixed media drawings. Technical help and demonstration of the possibilities of mixed media and acrylics will be a constructive part of the workshop.

Judith is an experienced musician and interpreter of music in art, with several large-scale public performances, in collaboration with cellist Rachel Scott as part of “The Painted Bach” project.

Fees cover tuition. You will need to provide your own art materials – a materials list will be made available in the additional information section.
