Multicultural Feast Ahead For Good Food Month

Fairfield City Museum & Gallery will soon host a fantastic feast that showcases some of the best international cuisines that can be found in Fairfield City.

Food & Fusion 3.0 will be held on Saturday 28 October in the grounds of Fairfield City Museum & Gallery, where guests will be treated to great food and wine tasting.

Mayor of Fairfield City Frank Carbone said Food & Fusion 3.0 would celebrate the City’s diversity through food.

“Food & Fusion 3.0 allows members of the community to come together as we showcase delicious international cuisines and celebrate our City’s passion for food and dining during Good Food Month,” Mayor Carbone said.

“Our City’s diversity and history of migration has meant the food scene has thrived in Fairfield City and we have become the envy of other local government areas.”

Event guests will be immersed into history, starting with a guided tour of the Vintage Village, plus enjoy tea in a billy and freshly baked damper with locally produced honey.

This will be followed by a cross-cultural feast in the picturesque Vintage Village, which will include Lao and Thai entrées, fresh pasta and a delicious gelato dessert.

“Food is an instrumental part of the human experience. It provides an opportunity for people to come together, to share, to celebrate,” Mayor Carbone said.

“I encourage people far and wide to come along to Food & Fusion 3.0 to celebrate our cultural diversity over a delicious meal.”

People interested in Food & Fusion 3.0 should contact Fairfield City Museum & Gallery on 9725 0190 to book, as places are limited. Tickets are $35 per person.

Mayor Carbone said those unable to make it to Food & Fusion 3.0 at Fairfield City Museum & Gallery could still experience an array of international dining options in Fairfield City during Good Food Month and throughout the year.

“Destination Fairfield is always open for business; for those who can’t make it to Food & Fusion 3.0, our colourful Spanish and Latin American food festival Culinary Carnivale will light up Fairfield City Centre on 21 October,” Mayor Carbone said.

“Fairfield City boasts a range of affordable and authentic dining choices, giving visitors a chance to taste the many flavours of the world.

“Experience the authentic tastes of the Middle East and South America in Fairfield City Centre or modern Italian dining in Wetherill Park.”

“In #Postcode2166 you’ll discover authentic South East Asian cuisine. Cabramatta, Canley Vale and Canley Heights are home to more than 100 cafes and restaurants specialising in dishes from countries across South East Asia, including Vietnam, Thailand, Korea, Laos, Cambodia and China.”
