MALIGA ARTS AND CULTURE SHOWCASE 2017

In its fourth year, Maliga (meaning Shine in Darkinjung) Arts and Culture Showcase is an initiative presented by Central Coast Council in partnership with the regions educational institutions and youth services. The showcase is an exhibition of visual stories regarding cultural identity and connection to place through the visual, performance and literary arts by local Indigenous young people.

This year Maliga  will be incorporating a Public Program alongside the regions Elders and Creative Practitioners including, Uncle Gavi Duncan, Aunty Jenni McEwen, Mayrah Sonter and Maurice Goolagong, who will deliver a presentation on their cultural and creative journey's.

Maliga Launch: Friday 26 May 2017 10am - 12pm

Maliga Exhibition: Friday 26 May 2017 - Sunday 4 June

Public Program: Monday 29 May 10:30am - 12pm
