Vestige Performance - 5 performances in the amphitheatre

Have you ever struggled with loss?

Artist and Blake Prize finalist Lisa Bowen, is looking for five participants to take part in her work Vestige at Casula Powerhouse as part of Blake Day on 3 June 2018.

Vestige is a collaboration with the public to design and perform personalised memorial ceremonies for losses that do not involve death.

Part collaborative performance art, part ritual theatre, Vestige will offer participants the chance to say goodbye to something they have lost. Participants will be invited to burn, destroy, dismantle, wrap, or even scrub clean an object of personal significance. Their object’s remains will be placed in an urn for them to keep or discard in a location of their choosing.
