SUPERFICTIONS and ADVENTURISM

Today we live in a ‘post truth world’ driven by ‘fake news’, ironically at a time when we have the greatest access to information in human history. Artists throughout history have represented reality with interpretations that span from the real to the unreal.

Are todays digital channels for disseminating news, such as Facebook and Twitter, that propagate unverified ‘news’ also turning our world leaders into artists- ‘bullshit artists’?

Internationally renowned writer, curator and artist, Peter Hill will explore the blurring of boundaries between fact and fiction, truth and fantasy, reality and alternate reality.

Come and hear his entertaining and provocative presentation on this phenomenon. Don't miss out. Booking includes light supper.

When: Tuesday 30 May, 7.30pm
Where: JAHM, 3 Lumley Court, Prahran, VIC 3181
Cost: $30 including light supper
