Movement and Music as Medicine

With Cristina Jiménez, Dance Movement Therapist

Ready to try a new pathway to self-expression and creativity? Cristina feels if you can move, you can dance, and her role as a performer and facilitator is to remind people of the magic of movement to music. Some of the many benefits and intentions include physical exercise, learning techniques to feel ecstatic and relaxed without the use of AOD, encouraging expression of emotions in a safe and held environment, creating connection to self and others, community building, expanding your movement and music repertoire, creative expression and the increase of brain cells and bone and muscle health.

Cristina has studied at International Dance Therapy Australia and is a Dance Movement Therapist. She brings this healing art to aged care facilities, parents and toddlers, people with disabilities, and has facilitated free form ecstatic dance workshops. “My workshops are a celebration of life and discovery. A beautiful, stimulating and supportive way to feel vital and brighter, bringing immense health benefits and joy.”
