Find Your Voice

With Janie Gibson, Actor, Theatre-maker and Teaching Artist

Want to make better use of this important tool? We use our vocal chords for talking, singing, laughing, crying, whistling, screaming, humming and more. Join Janie Gibson for an exploration of the voice through play, imagery and group work. Find your natural voice by speaking with freedom and singing with others in a unique workshop. In this workshop we will look at freeing your natural voice through exercises in release, breath, sensitivity and expression. Suitable for anyone wishing to build their awareness of their voice and learn how to wield its power.

Janie is an actor, theatre-maker and teaching artist with a background in Polish ensemble theatre, devised performance making and Shakespeare. She believes that stories, in the traditional sense, are like medicine – a way to show us who we are, speak about what is unspoken and offer a pathway towards deeper connection to each other, to nature, to our history and our ancestors.
