Be a part of The Light in Winter's weekend book club where we will tackle the ripping Victorian tale, 'The Mystery of the Handsome Cab' written by English writer Fergus Hume in 1886.
Set in Melbourne, the novel was Australia’s first international bestseller, outselling the Sherlock Holmes novel 'A Study in Scarlet' by Arthur Conan Doyle.
Imagine a cold winter Saturday afternoon, in a friendly venue, a drink or a snack and a bunch of people happy to hand the book around and each read a few pages until the mystery is solved on the last weekend of The Light in Winter.
The series will kick off on 2 June with the special appearance of a very early copy from the Victorian State Library.
Meet at Arintji, Federation Square, every Saturday in June at 2.30pm.
