Another green light for Walsh Bay Arts Precinct

Sydney Theatre Company has been granted planning permission for the refurbishment, and companies confirmed for Pier 2/3.

The redevelopment of Walsh Bay – Sydney’s Arts Precinct that threads its way around the harbour’s edge in the historic Rocks district – has been on the table since 2011.

After facing the Court of Appeal in May 2017 over an invalid Development Consent, which delayed the project, last week the NSW Minister for the Arts, Don Harwin, announced that Walsh Bay Arts and Cultural Precinct (WBACP) was a step closer to realisation.
