Marcus Westbury to shape new arts precinct

The founder of Renew Newcastle will head up a ground-breaking social and cultural enterprise.

Marcus Westbury, the founder of Renew Newcastle and Renew Australia, was today announced as the inaugural CEO of the Contemporary Arts Precinct (CAP), a new cross-disciplinary cultural precinct in Collingwood.

Westbury’s appointment as CEO of was announced by CAP Chair, Daniel Besen, who said: ‘Marcus’ appointment represents a perfect alignment of factors – a remarkable site, a passionate board and CEO with an entrepreneurial spirit and desire to create something exciting and new.
