National Roundtable sets some boundaries for acceptance

Steps to repair a loss of trust and respect from the arts sector were put into play at a National Roundtable, along with some terms of acceptance for moving forward.

While Arts Minister Mitch Fifield stepped into a firestorm lit by Senator Brandis, he took the first actions to extinguish those tensions when he met with #Freethearts sector advocates in a national roundtable in Sydney last week.

Over sixty delegates gathered at Carriageworks on Friday at a timely moment, as the three-month long Senate hearings into arts funding and the formation of the National Program for Excellence in the Arts (NPEA) were wrapped up.
