More than 100 touring exhibitions threatened by cuts

The defunding of the NETS Australia networks jeopardised scores of projects set to tour to regional Australian galleries in coming months.

Of the 128 organisations to receive funding only one regional gallery was supported with direct funding and several touring organisations essential to regional exhibitions lost operational funding. 

Art on the Move, (WA), Museums & Galleries of NSW, Museums & Galleries Queensland and NETS Victoria all had their applications for operational funding rejected in the devastating funding Australia Council announcement earlier this month.
