The International Design Awards (IDA) 2017 has announced City of Casey’s Bunjil Place (designed by multi-award winning architectural studio Francis-Jones Morehen Thorp (fjmt)) as the winner of the Architecture of the Year Award.
Bunjil Place is the City of Casey’s new $125 million arts, cultural and entertainment precinct, located in south-east Melbourne. The overarching vision for the precinct is ‘to create an inviting central heart for the community that celebrates participation, belonging and pride’. Bunjil Place has also received gold awards for two architectural design disciplines: Institutional and Landmarks, Symbolic Structures, Memorials, Public.
