$17 million investment sought in upcoming budget

The South Australian arts sector has delivered an ambitious plan to support the state’s small-to-medium arts organisations, individual artists, and creative innovation.

Five initiatives have been proposed to strengthen innovation, individuals, and the s2m sector over four years.

In a letter to SA Treasurer Tom Koutsantonis, the Arts Industry Council of South Australia (AICSA) requested a $17.26 million investment across four years to support five key initiatives, including indexed funding increases, fellowships for established artists, support for early career artists, and an innovation fund.
